PUKKA DEAL BY HURST WARNE

110,000 sq ft
transaction brings Jamie Oliver to Eastleigh Hurst Warne have just acquired a
110,000 sq ft warehouse in Eastleigh on behalf of Just Data Systems and their
client The Jamie Oliver Group. The client asked Hurst Warne to identify a
distribution and warehouse facility of circa 40,000 - 50,000 sq ft along the M3
and M27 corridors. Peter Richards, agency partner at the Fleet office,
undertook an extensive market search and was able to identify a much larger
warehouse building which despite being twice the size of the clients original
search was available on terms within the clients original rental budgets. The
building was Avalon on the Boyatt Wood industrial estate in Eastleigh and was
being offered on competitive terms by Craigard Investments (Eastleigh) Ltd.
Avalon will be used by Just Data Systems to provide
warehousing and order fulfilment to Jme Group Ltd. Jme is the new trading arm
of the renowned UK chef, Jamie Oliver, offering an eclectic range of products
for the home through Jamie At Home.
Mike Thom MD of Just Data said Avalon ideally
suited our logistical and occupational needs and we were delighted that Hurst
Warne were able to find us a building twice the size of our original
requirement but within our budgeted occupational costs. The additional
warehouse space was a bonus to us as there has been significant success and
growth of the Jamie at Home products business and our latest
business projections show that it will not take us long to fill the building
for The Jme Group.
